Software Engineer – Mobile Development

As a member of the engineering team, you will be participating in the design, development and ongoing improvement of multiple handset applications for Kyrus Mobile’s distracted driving solution, KyrusFleet.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Requirements gathering & review by participating in team discussions and customer interviews
  • Design and implement client applications that provide the best customer experience while meeting business needs
  • Develop and maintain documentation, such as functional specifications, design specifications (including class, ER and sequence diagrams), and end-user documentation
  • Develop unit, component and integration tests and appropriate test harnesses to ensure the quality of the KyrusFleet handset applications
  • Provide technical support

Experience:

  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience
  • Experience developing native mobile applications on one or more of the following handset platforms: iOS, Android, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Brew/BrewMP, J2ME. Development of background services and interfacing with Bluetooth on any of these platforms is a big plus
  • Experience interfacing with APIs using XML, JSON and other Web Services/SOAP technologies;
  • Experience developing applications that will be installed remotely, where defensive programming is a must and remote diagnostic aids must be designed in to the application;
  • Strong knowledge of multi-threaded programming and other advanced development skills
  • Experience working on agile development teams
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or other similar engineering disciplines, or equivalent experience

Desirable:

  • Experience with other applicable programming languages, such as Java, C#, C/C++, Objective-C, SQL, Ruby, Groovy
  • Experience interfacing with Bluetooth devices
  • Experience with current web languages and tools, such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, AJAX
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Software Engineer – Server/Backend Development

As a member of the engineering team, you will be participating in the design, development and ongoing improvement of the monitoring & reporting service for Kyrus Mobile’s distracted driving solution, KyrusFleet.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Requirements gathering & review by participating in team discussions and customer interviews
  • Design and implement features for our high performance, highly available and maintainable data collection, monitoring and reporting service
  • Develop and maintain documentation, such as functional specifications, design specifications (including class, ER and sequence diagrams), and end-user documentation
  • Develop unit, component, integration and performance tests (along with and appropriate test harnesses) to ensure the quality of the KyrusFleet monitoring & reporting service
  • Provide technical support on a roster basis

Experience:

  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience
  • Experience developing in C# / .NET / MVC / Entity Framework
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and expertise with one or more large scale database platforms, such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL
  • Experience implementing web-based APIs, using XML, JSON and/or SOAP/web services
  • Experience developing scalable, highly available server applications
  • Experience developing for the cloud using technologies such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS
  • Strong knowledge of multi-threaded programming and other advanced development skills
  • Experience working on agile development teams
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or other similar engineering disciplines or equivalent experience

  • Experience with the ETL process and data warehousing

UI Engineer/Architect

As a member of the engineering team, you will collaborate with multiple teams to design and implement web-based (and, in small part, mobile) interfaces for Kyrus Mobile’s distracted driving solution, KyrusFleet.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Requirements gathering & review by participating in team discussions and customer interviews
  • Design and implement user interfaces for fleet monitoring and reporting to technical and non-technical managers via our outward facing customer portal
  • Develop and maintain documentation, such as functional specifications, design specifications (including class, ER and sequence diagrams), and end-user documentation
  • Develop unit, component and integration tests and UI test automation to provide the best-possible user experience for our customers
  • Provide technical support on a roster basis

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience building web-based interfaces using C# or Java
  • 4+ years experience developing with JavaScript
  • 3+ years experience building AJAX-style user interfaces
  • Knowledge of critical standards such as HTML5 and CSS3
  • Ability to analyze existing systems and propose user experience enhancements
  • Talent for creating intuitive designs, ranging from low-fidelity to high-fidelity ones
  • Experience planning and executing UI usability testing
  • Experience working on agile development teams
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or other similar engineering disciplines

Desirable:

  • Experience with appropriate front-end development languages and environments, such as Javascript, MVC, Java/JSF, etc.

Quality Assurance Engineer

As a member of the software development team, you will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure the quality of all aspects of Kyrus Mobile’s distracted driving solution, KyrusFleet. The QA team will be responsible for testing all aspects of the service, including mobile handset applications, the KyrusFleet monitoring & reporting service and the external KyrusFleet customer portal.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Requirements gathering & review by participating in team discussions and customer interviews
  • Create high level test plans for all components of the KyrusFleet solution; these test plans will include mobile client testing, web API testing and UI testing
  • Develop & maintain detailed test plans and resulting test reports
  • Provide technical support on a roster basis

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience testing of commercial-grade software applications, both from the web API perspective and from the UI front-end; Handset testing experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with XML, JSON and web-services technologies
  • Experience writing high level test plans, detailed test cases & test scripts
  • Experience with test automation frameworks
  • Experience with scripting/simple programming is required
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages, such as Groovy, Python, Ruby
  • Experience working on agile development teams
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or other similar engineering discipline

Desirable:

  • Experience testing applications developed for cloud environments, such as Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure

Inside Sales Representative

As a member of the sales team, you will be responsible for prospecting, finding, developing and closing new business opportunities primarily using the phone and Internet. Also, to work closely with the marketing organization to provide necessary follow through on lead generation campaigns.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Conduct high-volume prospecting and cold calling to find qualified prospects
  • Move opportunities through the early stage of the sales cycle by conducting needs assessment, identifying customer challenges and aligning them with our solution
  • Represent the company at tradeshows and events
  • Qualify all leads generated by marketing programs and campaigns
  • Provide customer quotes and proposals

Experience:

  • Previous inside sales experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A winning track record exceeding sales quotas
  • A Bachelor’s degree

Marketing Manager

As a member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for driving all marketing outreach, programs and campaigns on behalf of the company. The role requires simultaneously project managing a number of integrated marketing activities on behalf of the company and working closely with the sales organization to support lead generation activities.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and drive social media campaigns
  • Manage webinar program
  • Coordinate events and tradeshows
  • Conduct installed base marketing email campaigns
  • Ongoing reporting and customer feedback to management

Experience:

  • 5-7 years in a marketing role in a high tech company
  • Ability to juggle several projects simultaneously

  • Experience with HubSpot a plus
